Today is the day.
Today begins a new adventure for our family.
Today is the official start date for the buliding of our new house. I am sure not much will happen today. I figure the dirt you see above might get moved around a bit, if that. But soon more will happen. And hopefully within four or five months we will be moving in.
It is hard to believe that the time is finally here. We signed a contract a while back and we've made lots of building choices so far. But now it is time for things to start moving. It is for real.
Brian and I never imagined we would be able to build a new house. Our Lord has made this possible and we consider it a gift to be where we are now. We could not start the journey without Him and it cannot continue without Him.
It is exciting and overwhelming, scary and amazing, daunting and fantastic all at once. We are praying to St. Joseph and any other saint who will listen. Please pray for us and all the builders involved. And pray for us that we might always turn to God in prayer during this adventure.
This is a personal scrapbook of sorts and so I am trying to keep the personal info to a minimum. You have been invited to share in the updates and progress if you choose. If you do choose to follow along with us, we hope you enjoy the fun. Please remember us in your prayers. And pray for our house - that it may be richly blessed as it is being built and after. We desire that our home will always be a place where God is found.

I have absolutely no doubt, Celeste, that your home will always be a place where God is found!
You can count on my prayers through this Great Adventure! I am so, so happy for you all! Wish I could be there to see it all in person. :)
Much love to you, Celeste, and may you be blessed with peace during this exciting, scary time. Thank you so much for inviting me to share in the journey. I can't wait to see how it all unfolds!
The brick is up on one of the models, and the brick was laying all around the other. As I come down the main street toward our neighborhood, I can see some of your future neighbors houses being built also. How quickly they are getting all this done!!! Maybe on the way home from ballet, I will take a journey to your new dirt, and see which way it has been pushed!
This is soooooooooo exciting! What a fun adventure to be on :) Looking forward to seeing the house take shape.
Keeping you in prayer,
Laura
